Im kinda curious why everyone thinks a Green/1 for Ryno deal would be terrible...

The only thing Anderson does better than Green is rebound, and they just addressed that need with Asik. Green is cheaper, more athletic, and fills a HUGE lineup hole... and he dunks, hard, which will help the irrelevancy

Bring in a guy like Saric, Payne, Hood or McGary with that late 1st and I cant see how that isnt a win

Like I said in my last post, I just don't think it's a splahy enough trade for some people. With acquiring Asik, and still having a gaping hole at the 3, this deal would make a lot of sense, IMO. Also, Anderson is a really good player, and even better guy, so I think some are just don't want to see him go at all, which is understandable.

Because AD/Asik/Ryno might be the best big rotation in the league. I'd much rather make this a 3 way trade that lets us keep bird rights and the MLE. Rivers and 3-4 voidable scrubs to a team with cap space like Boston for a pick lets you do that.

Basically

Ryno, #17, Aminu, Roberts, Smith, $5 million MLE, #2 million BAE

vs.

Green, #14, Rivers, Scrubs, $3-4 million in cap space, $2.7 million Cap Room Exception

Keep in mind having rights to a guy like Aminu doesn't mean you have to keep him, but it does let you sign and trade him, perhaps to the Clippers for Dudley and #28 for example.
