Meanwhile in Japan, "live sushi" is apparently a trend

Today I learned of the barbaric practice taking place in restaurants in Japan. Believe it's Thailand and Vietnam where they not only eat dogs and cats, but can pick out the very one they want to eat at a restaurant....while it's still alive in a cage

In china they have a dish called drunken shrimp. They bring out live shrimp in a bowl and pour rice wine in the bowl to sedate the shrimp. You pull the head off and peel the shrimp, dip it in wasabi and eat it. It's still twitching as it goes down your throat.

Yeah I'm not getting some of the outrage. Most of us have thrown live crawfish and crabs into boiling water and gigging frogs is a common practice in south LA.
