Posted by Message joshric Anybody buy a jeep grand cherokee recently? Got a 2014 GC Overland last week, had to drive to houston to get it bc the dealers in the Acadiana area couldnt even trade for a white one. we just cut the local dealers out and drove there, great experience and they took off more than we expected. clearlake dodge, outside of houston

What did you get off sticker? I'm looking at the overland's also.

My 2012 Rubicon seems to havr issues syncing to my wife's Iphone. No issues whatsoever to my Galaxy S3. Love my Jeep.

I bought the fully loaded Rubicon used because no dealers within 500 miles were willing to come offof the $43k price tag for the loaded Rubicon. I have the Uconnect in my 2014 Dodge Ram as well and I have not had any issues with it. I actually like the interface more than any others, and I have driven every new model of SUV or Truck for work over the last 2 years.

I just looked at their website. I apparently haven't bought a car in far too long but I'm back in the market. Why have 5 models ranging almost 20k and that doesn't even include an engine upgrade or 4wd. 20k of bells and whistles on a 30k car is a lot of bells and whistles.

we got right under 6k off the sticker, we had an out the door number in mind and werent willing to budge from there, they got within $1000 of our number but we just said no thanks.

Got a call at like 7pm the next day saying that they would come down to our "out the door" number if we committed to buy right now. so we did.

The internet buying experience was 1000x better than buying in person but of course when we went there to actually do the paper work and get the jeep, the manager on duty said he couldnt do the price that we agreed on with his boss bc it was too low.
we got pissed, he eventually said he could the price that we agreed on with his boss, so we had a little of the traditional car buying BS to put up with but nothing too bad

I bought a 2014 JGC Overland/Ecodiesel/4x4 in March. Did a lot of research & found a Texas group buy on JeepGarage. I wanted a specific color combo I couldn't find anywhere, so I ordered mine. Took about 12 weeks. The Texas group buy gets you 5.5% off dealer invoice + any other discount you qualify for. You'll need to pick it up in Houston (River Oaks).

I love it so far. Rides really great. The diesel has nearly Hemi performance on the low end + 30 mpg on the interstate. But the stock Pentastar V6 will suit most just fine. Uconnect is far more useful than the iDrive in the BMW I got rid of.

I concur on the Uconnect. Miles ahead of the Ford Sync system im used to in F150s.
We were in the same boat, my wife wanted specific color combo and we just searched and searched until we found it.

responds to input, haha. i have an f150, so im not hating, but it's much faster responding to input and more sensitive to touch, now the Sync that im familiar with is on a 2012 so it may have improved since.

You will have to wait for model change and buy vehicle basically a year old. Dad negotiated a year before getting his price.
