You might be right. I spent some time looking at what Asik did last year in a very bad situation, for him at least, and he performed quite well when called upon. The fact he didn't tank has to say a lot to GMs. Is he worth $15M? No, but neither are 95% of the other big men out there. I'd do back-flips to swap EG's $15M for Asik's.

Teams aren't eager to pay him $15M when the cap hit is only $8.5M. He isn't getting anything near $15M per year.
