Just change it to Puto v. Checkerboards. FIFA just ruled that it's not offensive.
ETA: Mexico argued to FIFA that it wasn't offensive. I assume that means they would like to be associated with the word, so no one should be offended if you make this change.

I agree....I propose the Mexican national team and their fans be hence-forth referred to as...... the Putos, can I get a second ?
