Because for every person who genuinely wants to know about soccer, theres about 10 that think it's for "grass fairies" and "gay boys". Years and years of being on the defensive makes you naturally defensive.
The questions aren't honestly interrogative. It's almost rhetorical like, "wait you can have a tie"? Or, "why isn't there video evidence" and for god sakes.... the diving (simulation) issue.
We know it's a problem.
People need to be more polite when asking about a new sport.

Someone new to the sport might not know these are rhetorical questions.
Now, if someone is breaking sports etiquette by asking them in the 90th min, I get your frustration.
