Preheated at 400???? How thick is the bacon?
I put bacon on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper. Place it in the oven cold and let it preheat to 400. Once it beeps, let it cook for 5 minutes.
Takes 15 minutes total.
Only complaint is that the bacon can be a bit greasy due to sitting in its own grease too long but paper towels take care of it just fine.
Oven cooking is perfect because of its consistency. Once you figure out hot to cook it how you like it, you'll never go back to pan frying. Very little mess (no splattering) and every piece cooked the same.
