Wow. What new science are you talking about? Did they find out the fetus doesn't actually share an organ with another organism? Did they found out the fetus actually breathes air like the rest of us?

None of that defines what is human or what is an individual. But, premies as early as 22 weeks can breath air and don't share organs, yet survive. Keep up your 1930's mindset. It'll serve you well.

Personally, I am against abortion. I think you're killing the future child of someone by doing that. No doubt. My wife recently miscarriaged and her having a D&C (the same procedure they do for 1st trimester abortions) totally blew.

On the other hand, the government mandating what someone can and can't do with their body is abhorrent to me. They are taking enough freedoms away as it is. Freedom to be stupid is something that is given to every citizen in this country.

FWIW that's exactly how I feel about pot use as well. I don't smoke it, but I'd rather have the freedom to do so rather than see people's lives be ruined b/c of some talking head.

I don't believe in the death penalty either, but that's only because I've lost faith that our govt will only send guilty people to death row, or be convicted for that matter.
