*HELP ME OUT HERE*

I do not want to cancel my Cox tv, but I would love a discount.

Should I call them and say I want to cancel it, and see what they say?

How much of an offer (from them) to stay would be a good one?

Right now I pay about $70 a month for the Digital Cable + Sports & Info package.

Yes. At the worst you can say you changed your mind before they actually cut it off, and the discounts vary depending on how good of a poker face you have. When I called I had already decided to cancel for sure and didn't haggle, so I can't really tell you exactly what to say.

The best strategy that has worked for me has been calling to cancel service.
Once you get to someone simply tell him that it has gotten to expensive and you are exploring options with other providers. See what they can do for you. (Shoot for a 20-30% reduction if keeping same services)
For some reason different people seem to be more helpful. So if you're not happy with what they are willing to give you, don't be afraid to hang up and call back the next day.
