Forgetting a child in the back seat of a hot, parked car is a horrifying, inexcusable mistake. But is it a crime?

Yes, but it should be punished like any other crime of extreme negligence.

I don't think it's a crime

A surgeon in Shreveport was guilty of this. His wife usually took the kid to daycare and he just forgot. He didn't get arrested. My friend is friends with them. They were totally distraught
