In my opinion Beltre is the leader of the team. He's the heart and the soul.
If you trade him, you trade the team's leader. This needs to be a consideration when considering any deal.
But if someone offers something crazy, you may have to pull the trigger.

I think Elvis is the leader of the team. He's definitely the face of the franchise (featured in most advertising campaigns).
And, with his multi-year deal in place, doubtful anyone takes him in a trade unless the Rangers agree to another A-Rod salary contribution deal (which they can't afford given how much they're paying for Prince and Choo and will be for nearly the next decade).
