I think this is a year to reload. The club has a promising future.
Trade Rios if you can and get something decent.
In the offseason, trade one of the middle infielders whether its Profar, Odor, Andrus or Sardi.
And I don't think Beltre is done. Far from it. He's still a great hitter and plays very well at third. The only thing that is an impediment is injuries, but he looks healthy right now.
Tepesch and Martinez are getting valuable experience. Jackson is next, probably in August or September. Chi Chi is probably a 2015 addition depending on how he does in AA.
I like how the future looks. Time to reload.

As much as I love Beltre, the defensive metrics are showing a decline in fielding this year. As it is, his hamstrings seem to be hanging on by a thread. I really do think that he will spend at least half of his games next year as a DH.
And the offer for Beltre would have to be significant for JD to trade him. This isn't anything like trading MY, as Beltre can still be an elite hitter. And Beltre's declining fielding is still way better than MY.
This was a fluke year for injuries. As it is, they are a .500 team with over half of their opening day payroll on the DL. They are an elite team with everyone healthy. No reason to trade away an elite hitter for an average return. I hope.
