Gallo has been promoted to AA where he is still playing third base. That would put him on track to be a 2015 September call-up. I believe that Gallo has yet to play a single game in the outfield, not saying that he never will, but it looks like he will be our future 3rd baseman.

Chi Chi has much better command of his secondary pitches which means he is ahead of Jackson for a call-up even though they are the same age and level. Jackson has the higher ceiling so I believe that the Rangers will keep him in the minors longer than Chi Chi. I really really want Jackson to become a starter because I think his ceiling is closer to a #2. His stuff can be electric.

Unfortunately, I think this is Beltre's last full season at 3rd. We are going to be seeing a lot more platooning next year. But just having 2 of Profar or Andrus or Odor or Sardinas would make any INF top in defense, which has me excited for the future.

I think this is a year to reload. The club has a promising future.

Trade Rios if you can and get something decent.

In the offseason, trade one of the middle infielders whether its Profar, Odor, Andrus or Sardi.

And I don't think Beltre is done. Far from it. He's still a great hitter and plays very well at third. The only thing that is an impediment is injuries, but he looks healthy right now.

Tepesch and Martinez are getting valuable experience. Jackson is next, probably in August or September. Chi Chi is probably a 2015 addition depending on how he does in AA.

I like how the future looks. Time to reload.

I think he'll be up earlier than that. I think he'll be up by summer of next season unless he continues to hammer the ball and force his way up even sooner. He's 6'5 and a average fielder... cannon of an arm though. Like I said, as he gets closer, you'll see them trying him out at other positions. Right now all they need him to do is concentrate on hitting. I'm not discounting the fact he could stick there, but if we don't make any moves with Profar/Odor/Andrus, he's probably more likely to become a corner OF/1B.

I agree completely.

If someone kicked our door down asking for Beltre at the deadline, I'd listen.

He's definitely not done. Starting next season, it's going to be about keeping him healthy and effective for the rest of his career. More maintenance days at 1B, DH, and a few days off here and there. But he could certainly man the position for another year... but I'm not sure if we should allow him to do so.
