This was the official reply I got back from Brian at YETI customer service ...
"I am very sorry this happened to your cooler. As I said on the phone, unfortunately cracks like this are not covered under our warranty. That being said, we would recommend sealing the crack with 3M 5200, a marine grade sealant, which will seal the crack, and keep it from spreading. Again, I am very sorry this happened, and let me know if you have any additional questions.

So I wrote another email disagreeing with his comment and he sent me this
I understand your disappointment, and am very sorry that this happened to your cooler. However, because this crack is not a result of a defect in manufacturing, it is not covered under the warranty, so the 3M 5200 is your best option. Again, I apologize that this happened. Did you submit pictures of the overall condition? If its as new as you say it is, certainly it looks new? A picture is worth a shite ton, the picture you show doesnt show anything but a broken piece of plastic.

5200 ain't got shite on Flex Seal.
