This was the official reply I got back from Brian at YETI customer service ...

"I am very sorry this happened to your cooler. As I said on the phone, unfortunately cracks like this are not covered under our warranty. That being said, we would recommend sealing the crack with 3M 5200, a marine grade sealant, which will seal the crack, and keep it from spreading. Again, I am very sorry this happened, and let me know if you have any additional questions.

So I wrote another email disagreeing with his comment and he sent me this

I understand your disappointment, and am very sorry that this happened to your cooler. However, because this crack is not a result of a defect in manufacturing, it is not covered under the warranty, so the 3M 5200 is your best option. Again, I apologize that this happened. Let me know if you have any additional questions."

Did you submit pictures of the overall condition? If its as new as you say it is, certainly it looks new? A picture is worth a shite ton, the picture you show doesnt show anything but a broken piece of plastic.

5200 ain't got shite on Flex Seal.
