Correctamundo. You will not get the IT dream job right out of college. Be prepared to feel dumb, and work lots of hours.
Got my degree in Information Systems and started at 40k with an IT consulting firm. I believe the normal range for my company starting out is between 40-50. I had 0 experience so of course I came in low.
I have however close to doubled that in 3 years.
