From the time I was about 9, I remember watching the CWS regardless of who was in it every year. One summer I pretended to be a LF for OU named Chip Glass for crying out loud.
Rosenblatt had an atmosphere to it, an excitement. What's more is that the bats made it so the games were never over. Today's bats suck yes but the worst part is that this stadium sucks! They have lattice behind home plate! No atmosphere, no color, no energy and no way in hell you're hitting a home run.
Now you'll hear people say that gorilla ball was not real baseball and I agree, but what was wrong with the 7-6, 5-4 games we got with the bats in 09?
