As far as African nations go, Ghana really isn't that bad (the company I work for looked at some opportunities in Ghana)... I mean it would still totally suck compared to anywhere here, but armed militants probably aren't taking over your local mall to commit mass murder.

It is one of the more stable governments in Africa and they have a shitload of oil which helps.

Yes and I think the US actually has pretty good relations, outside of soccer, with Ghana. OT no doubt, just saying.



And yes I get what the OP is saying. Regardless of her nationality she knows she is at a pro-American viewing party and is carrying around the opposition flag. Is that somewhat douchey? Sure. Is she being hostile and antagonizing the crowd around her? Not what I could tell.

Think about it, haven't you ever had a football viewing party and someone invites at least 1 friend who is rooting for the opposing team and they show up in their jersey? Is it annoying as frick? Yeah, but as long as they're not antagonizing the crowd it's nothing to worry about.
