I completely agree with that, but the problem is that shite is starting way too young. There aren't many recreational leagues anymore. Damn near every coach thinks his team needs to be "reconfigured" for a travel team. The guy said it was Neighborhood/school friends. Hell, if they are 10 and under keep them together and let them be kids playing baseball. So what if they get their arse kicked now and then.

In that case you shouldn't go into it expecting much anyway. if you're doing it so the kids can hang out, let the kids hang out.
