Do the couponing blogs really work in terms of telling you which stores have the best deals??

meh, I follow a couple of blogs, but for the most part, I check the sales adds every week and combine coupons with the sale.

For example a local grocery store that starts with a W, has dial soap on sale buy one get one free. There is a coupon out for buy 2 get 1 free. So, the deal is, you buy 6 of them, use 2 b2g1 free coupons, pay 3.99 for 1 and get 5 free.. so it ends up being .66 each.

I try to stockup on body wash from free-.50/each but that is a good price for dial bc I find it is more expensive and its something my husband had to use bc of his skin.

Last week, another local grocery store had hot dogs on sale for .69 each. There was an in ad coupon that said "get a free pack of buns when you buy 2 packs of hot dogs". There was also a coupon for .55 off of 1 pack of hot dogs.. So I basically paid .28 for 2 packs of hot dogs and 1 pack of buns.. shite was insane... I think I ended up getting 60 packs of hot dogs and 30 packs of buns. Gave the buns away to family and threw the hot dogs in the freezer ;D

Heres two recent hauls:

6 boxes of General Mills cereal, 1 gallon of orange juice, 3 suave shampoos, 2 dove shampoos, and 6 dial body washes.. Paid $6.92 for all 18 items... Or $.38 each !!!

and the hot dogs:

basket full- Paid $7.56 for 57 items... 32 packs of hot dogs,16 packs of buns, 8 rolls of toilet paper, and one root beer.
