Can't speak for 3D world but I use it exclusively for MK8. Plus you have the option for motion controls or stick controls with it, which is pretty cool

I find the gamepad easier to use on every game. It fits a lot more comfortable in my hands than the Pro pad. The pro pad sort of forces your wrists inward at angle and locking them in a weird position.
The gamepad just sort of sits in your hands, very comfortable for long play sessions.
