Given the age and manufacturer, you probably have an Al-Cu evaporator coil, and it's almost certain it is the leaky part. There's actually a class action suit about it. The labor could run around $500, and the part another $500 or so if you're no longer under warranty. They are using all-aluminum coils now, and the problem should not recur once you get it fixed.
