Rivers and Rettig left cause they don't fit in to the direction LSU wants to play.
Could it be that maybe--and I know that this may be difficult for you to wrap your head around--juuuust maaaybe they were out-performed by those ahead of them on the depth chart? Maaaybe smart, successful coaches adjust their scheme to fit their personnel? Huh?
Nah, i'm sure it's your thing. That makes perfect sense that the coaches had better QBs in Rivers and Rettig but buried them on the bench because they wanted to "play in another direction."

The whole "the direction the staff was going" excuse for transferring is really saying "I want to see the field". Pre-Transfers, the passing ability of all our QBs was fairly close. However, Les has shown that if he isn't going to get a drastically better arm out of a pocket passer, he wants someone who can run.
People act like you have to rehaul your entire offense to play a Dual Threat QB. If that were the case, you wouldn't see guys with offers from every school in the SEC because the systems we run are so varied.

When did I say Rivers and Rettig were better? I said they left because LSU is going in a different direction. I think that makes sense as to why they left.
