"McCarthy is the majority whip. Look for him to make a push."
As #3 and #4 respectively in Leadership, each has managed , for the most part, to escape the wrath that has been heaped upon both Boehner and Cantor, and I could see them both moving up one spot until January 3rd. If Cantor immediately gives up his slot, that means the #4 slot is up for grabs, and that person will likley be in the mold of McCarthy and McMorris Rodgers. It's much easier to take tough stands on issues when you don't rub 78% of the country the wrong way, as Boehner and Cantor both did. The "masses", unfortunately, react as much to style as they do substance. Meaning no matter how good your message is, if you come across as a douchebag, the voting public will tune you out and your message will be lost. Reid and Pelosi are the same way on the other side. You want someone who can focus on the message and not get caught up in personalities. Being articulate and not prone to gaffes doesn't hurt either.

Kathy Mc Morris Rodgers, WA.
She's already part of Leadership.
