The press is already "all in" for this "historic first womyn President" - so, I would attack early, attack often, with the only admonition to keep it fresh - which he is doing here - this is fresh material, so a nice, relevant fresh attack is warranted.

For better or worse, I'd assert that now is about the time he has to do so. Be smart enough to accept it for what it is.
