I have had 2 harmony 900 remotes for 5 years now with 0 problems.

cant imagine anyone hating a harmony. the database is so extensive i haven't found a device yet that wasnt covered.

it takes all of 5 minutes to create a macro for anything more complicated than turning shite on.

i have a drawer full of remotes in the back room of the house that i laugh when i open because i can't imagine trying to use and keep track of all of them.

your config is stored in the cloud so if the remote dies, just buy another & connect to logitech online and everything gets downloaded to your new remote.

it handles all my shite; chromecast, wdtv, xbox, DISH and AVR FLAWLESSLY.

bonus that you can do things like have it automatically MUTE or set the volume low when its turning everything on.

how can anyone bitch about a harmony?

I have a 750 I think. It has a smaller LCD and rechargeable batteries. It works well, but it doesn't handle my LG minisystem (Cheap blu-ray 5.1 surround all in one) the best.

If you turn it off while any input other than optical (optical from cable box to system for audio) is selected they next time you turn it on it has trouble finding which input to select. I worked for 2 days with 2 different harmony support techs on the phone and they couldn't figure it out, so I chalked it up to LG's layout and now make sure I change the input before I turn it off.

I have had two that crapped out on me in short order. Both were set up by a professional AV tech.

That's how.
