I play in two leagues, we do it different in both.
The first one, we bid for draft spots. We randomly select which ones get bid on first. Starts at $2 and increases by $2. It usually adds $70-$80 to the pot.
The second one, we draft the draft order. The person who won last year gets 1st pick and so on. This makes it interesting because its a 1 player keeper league. If you have a top RB that is kept, maybe you want to grab a later first round pick. Or you dont keep anyone, you may want a higher pick.
