In Halo 2, the Scarab is a huge Covenant vehicle which fires a beam at populated areas. Due to technical limitations, Bungie had to spawn an actual weapon and make it fire the beam. Players eventually found out how to pick up this gun and use it for themselves. As you can see from the video above, it is extremely powerful and hilariously fun.
