I'm not convinced it was a Christmas tree just because it happened to look like one at one point and then someone grabbed a screenshot. Bradley was in the middle of that attacking 3 but came back a lot. Jones was essentially box to box. Again, the formation doesn't really matter so much as how the players move while on the field.

I don't know if/when a switch was made, but the pre game starting lineup definitely showed a 4231. Either way I think most are in agreement on the starting 11 though the formation may be flexible.

Maybe. But it seems like Bedoya being positioned deeper than Bradley is a big deal as far as their respective responsibilities.
