If you don't think LSU football players get job preferences in Louisiana you have your head in the sand. They get better job opportunities. LSU fans that are CEO's like feeling like that are "part of the team" like any other fan. Both during and after graduation. Alabama player from Louisiana would probably not get the job against a Louisiana player from LSU. Not to say he would not get a job but that he would not have as many opportunities.

this is true everywhere assuming a) you really have few other marketable skills and b) you're a recognizable name. Companies hire name jocks as sales guys because they know their name will get them appointments. Bobby Humphreys sold a lot of concrete in Birmingham.

If the player goes elsewhere and actually applies himself to getting a good degree while developing marketable skills, where he went to school won't matter.

Joe Namath is from Pennsylvania.

Anyone here Think he couldn't open a business in Tuscaloosa?

C'mon folks. Get a fricking clue about this.

Dwayne bowe is from Florida.
Ben Wilkerson is from Texas.
Stevan Ridley is from Mississippi.
Melvin Oliver is from alabama.
Perry Riley is from Georgia.

Think Baton Rouge banks would deny them?

If you make a name for yourself..... It doesn't matter where you are from or where you are supposed to go.
