My husband is pretty good. Cares about the horses and does what is right for them.
I take a bit of offense to that.

I have tried to overlook his tirade, thinking an emotional reaction to the loss, accepting the fact that he will be back to work in a machine shop on Tue. Unfortunately, he will probably be seen again & again because the media loves controversy in any sport & gets few opportunities in today's racing. If all else fails, ESPN will create a controversy.
But I am afraid I have about had it. If he would have gone away after his post race tirade, I would be fine. Now the true gentlemen in this sport are going to pulled through the wringer. He says some of the competition took a "coward's way out", "if you think you have a horse, run him". Think he should look at a little history before making such statement.
I use one example to define "run him", Whirlaway in 1941. Runs the Blue Grass on April 24, the Derby Trial on April 29, wins the Derby on May 3. Has a rest & wins the Preakness May 31 & one week later, June 7, wins the Crown.
Said in another post, he needs to lick his wounds, keep his mouth shut & prep for the Breeders Cup.
