Some notes from the Perfect Game National Showcase this week:

quote:

• Ryan Cole McKay countered Fenter on the mound and quickly passed the eye test given his athletic and projectable 6-foot-5, 215-pound frame. His stuff matched his stature, working in the same 92-93 range that Fenter showed off the previous half inning while also peaking at 94.

quote:

Ryan Cole McKay (2015, RHP, Spring Branch, TX) threw a heavy ball at 91-94 mph, also mixing a late diving 81-82 mph changeup, and an 11-5 curveball. He tossed two scoreless innings with four strikeouts.

quote:

Dylon Poncho (2015, SS, Elton, LA) topped at 90 mph, working steadily at 88-89 in his one inning of solid work.

quote:

Dominic DiCarprio's arm strength stood out of this group, and while his 78 mph throw was plenty good, it was his 1.78 POP time that really caught people's attention with his quick release and online, accurate throws to second base.

quote:

Both Dominic DiCaprio and Michael Benson showed well behind the plate for their respective teams in their first two innings behind the plate, both showing quick hands and solid receiving skills.

Dicaprio has the second best pop time of the event so far at 1.78

Poncho has the third best infield velo of the event so far with 92

Breaux is on the list of top outfield velos with a 90, and top 60 times with a 6.72

Lochridge is on the IF velo list with 86, and 60 time list with a 6.79
