With all the new money coming in from the tv contracts, sec network etc- it seems the LSU athletic dept could back off some of the ridiculous things they are doing to raise money. Charging for on campus parking was a new low.

The official reason stated for doing that was "the recession." The recession has been over for several years now.

Are they really doing this now at LSU? (Other than reserved parking?) I haven't been to a game in maybe 5-6 years but back then we could just find an open spot on campus and park.

Honestly, I thought the same thing for a long time.

However, it has got to e a nightmare for the AD that we've allotted 35 million to the academic side for the next couple of years just to stay afloat. that's a lot of money the AD no longer has at its disposal.

Meanwhile, Alabama makes quite a few million more than us in revenue on top of not having to worry about their academic side
