LSU is very close to the same problem-people staying at home and watching the game on TV.

Yet there is a waiting list 10 miles long for tickets.

A family of four with season tickets will probably spend around $8 to $10,000 per year.

So they are spending 100 per person per game at the stadium ? I don't think so.

Like it or not, college football is an arms race. That ain't going away. It takes money. LOTS of money to be competitive.

I bet you don't pay anything. Parking, tail gating, food, transportation, hotel, tradition fund, tickets, and other misc costs and away games

it's in an arms race into a market bubble. when that bubble bursts, the corporately held season tickets won't be enough to fill the stadium. I'm not talking about the pricing out of the joe schmo "fan all his life but never attended LSU" guy. I'm talking about the middle class family involving an LSU graduate being priced out. and it won't happen tomorrow, but the speed of which we're heading to that point is accelerating exponentially every off season

I've had 4 for many years now. 8-10k per year no way (maybe in Michigan, or if your lower sidelines at TS). I'm in north end zone it's 1200 for donation and about 2k for the tickets. Still not cheap but not a bloodbath really.
