Kind of. Most are also chains (Fado). Also takes into account who goes, etc. For example, although many Irish ex-pats work at Fado, a visitor to Philly from Ireland would feel much more at home at The Plough. The people who work there should also understand the decorations, etc..

Ex.: There's a picture of MON and Lennon on the wall of a pub in NY. If you ask any of the people who work there who's in the picture/what it's of, they'll give you a blank look.

Ex.2: Any pub called "Kelly's" or the like which don't sell any "Irish" alcohol other than Jameson and Guinness and sell green beer on "Patty's Day".
