To me, the Spurs aren't boring, they are just annoying. The smugness of them and their superstar just annoy the shite out of me. frick Manu, all I really have to say about him. They have a Frenchman on the team. That's another frick you. Pop seems cool so nothing but love for him. I respect Kawhi Leonard because he seems like a consummate professional, a hard worker, unselfish, and damn good basketball player. One other thing I hate is ESPN's insistence upon calling them a small market team. The frick? Yeah they don't have that many different television households. You know why? They stack 20 people in a 1,500 square foot house, that's why. It's one of the 15 most populated cities in the US. They aren't in gotdamn Waco or Tupelo.
It's not like they are struggling for revenue or have to deal with the problems that MLB teams have to deal with. They are on a cap system. They are in a state with no income tax. They have warm weather. They aren't trying to recruit people to the damn rust belt a la Milwaukee/Detroit/Cleveland. And please for the love of god stop acting like them spreading the floor is some unique revelation that no one has done before. I remember clear as day the Rockets doing the same court spreading in their two Finals wins.
Also this shite with Tim Duncan being the greatest PF of all time has to stop. How the hell can you be the greatest power forward of all time when you are a center? Second of all, Karl Malone, Kevin Garnett, Charles Barkley. Take your pick.
But yeah they aren't boring. Just annoying. Not remotely as annoying as their opponents, but annoying nonetheless.

Ratings are down! People are turning to other sports...the infamous NBA vs Hockey/Soccer debate. While those two may be behind, the fact of the matter is that they are definently catching up. That LA vs NY Stanley Cup Final game was AMAZING last night! Talk about intense. The NBA simply doesnt give me that same intensity.
Read the link i posted about the article on ESPN today talking about how the ratings for the NBA playoffs continue to slide and how LeBron's popularity, statistically hasnt come back. If Lebron James cant fix the NBA...who can? The NBA has many many issues it needs to deal with.
