In 2013...in concert...awful. Had it not been for APC's drummer joining the band to replace, their sound would have been a bore (that guy is AMAZING on the drums!). Richard Patrick has little-man syndrome much like the old Reznor did. He was a dick, said too much between songs - some of which was very degrading to any military members in the house - and he still thinks he's 27 and "Hey Man Nice Shot" is killing the charts. NO, you're not going to see a great Filter show 14 years after they were HUGE, but you should not have to hear Richard Patrick whine like a 16-year-old drunk girl. There were not even 100 fans present. Red Line Chemistry opened for them and were better -- sound wise, song wise, craft wise, show wise. That maybe what had Patrick acting up -- no one to see him and the opening act was better.

Josh Freese was drumming for them? Jeez that is a big step down from APC.

I saw them at a free festival in 2011. They were awful then too and the singer got really drunk. I stayed til the end to hear Hey Man Nice Shot, which was the only highlight of the show.

Richard Patrick must have naked pics on him or he really needs to support a huge drug habbit...he was a substitute. To Richard's credit, lobve him or hate him, but he knows everyone in the business. Finding a drummer within a matter of hours and coming up with Freese oughtta tell ya something.

He's a miserable frick. Really is. A lot of people like to hide their misery and not impose it upon others. He's THAT guy who doesthe opposite. He has a microphone and is a millionaire/industrial rock know it all. He's gonna drink and spout off. Again it is lil man syndrome.

They played that and 5-6 combined tracks from first two albums. They played "Skinny" and "Welcome to The Fold" -- their two best, I thought. The of their show was riddled with "new material", which impressed no one. The 65 people at the Varsity were not there to hear new Filter.

That concert was one of many I have seen at the Varsity when it comes to "B rated" bands. There was no one at front stage. Everyone sat in their seats. I had never seen that at a "bigger name" concert at the Varsity. SELF, for God's sake, at least had someone at the front of the stage.
