I usually dig up 30 cents of change or so. They are only paid $3.50 and hour or something along those lines but I'm not about to tip 15% for them just carrying my food 15 feet.

That's just shitty of Sonic. Why do they pass the responsibility of paying their employees onto me? For that matter, I don't understand why restaurants pay their waiters/waitresses so little. Just hire them on at minimum wage and I'll tip if they actually did well.

So a $5 #1 combo would cost you an extra $.75 and that's too much for you? Got it.

This is my line of thinking. What are they actually doing that warrants a tip? They really aren't waiting on you or providing much of a service.

Let me ask y'all this for those who do tip Sonic workers....

Do you also tip the cashier when you order take out at a restaurant b/c it's basically the same thing.
