The problem is "bullying" is such a bs buzzword today and kids know it.
I teach in an elementary school and everyday some little kid comes up to say someone is "bullying" them because they cut them in line or wouldn't share their hula hoop, or said they weren't their friend etc...
I'm all about protecting children, especially your own, but the dad better have some kind of proof that there was some serious bullying going on other than just the word of his 9 year old autistic son.
Also, as others have pointed out, the system may or may not have solved the problem had he gone that route first but you have to try. Unless you think your child is in some immediate physical danger but if that's the case keep them out of school for a day or two while you figure out what's going on.
