Why do these films consistently focus on the the use of fear by the right? It is such an overplayed topic.

I'm not saying that it isn't a great documentary, I'm just bored with the material.

i dont like using the term "the right" either. it should just be fear by governments.

Agreed. There is no shortage of fear utilized by both political parties.

Obamacare was sold on fear, Social Security continues to be propped up on fear, Medicaid expansions, EPA expansions, carbon footprints...fear, fear, fear.

The right is/has been more effective in exploiting/utilizing fear. The left is more effective at exploiting naivete. It's just demographics.
