Little things like that are the reason the world will be a much darker place without community. And it didn't take away from the story line and has nothing to do with the show being unpopular it was just something extra. The time Abed was in the background having his own story was so great once you realized it.

What a joke. This is the reason the show got cancelled. Subtle gags that cost very little effort, virtually no money, and oftentimes go unnoticed your first time through a show.
