re: Anyone still watching Cosmos?

I've given up on it. The original Cosmos was Sagan delivering the script/book he'd written in his own voice. It worked and was brilliant because it was Sagan's thoughts about the world around Sagan.

This Cosmos is NDT reading someone else's words in a manner that is decidedly not what makes NDT usually such a fricking fantastic speaker and champion of science to the layperson and is unwatchable. I had such high hopes, but once I realized that NDT really didn't have much to do with the script and was just hired to read what was on the teleprompter I didn't feel so great about this series. Once I'd seen that the way the show was presented didn't even let NDT's usual personality and delivery come through, I pulled the eject lever and punched out.
