La. issued 251 million in tax credits in 2013.

This is so far from the worst way the state spends our money. There are actually good outcomes to this expenditure.

You gotta love how people think that government wealth redistribution programs "create" jobs.

If these credits are such a great deal for Louisiana, then why doesn't Louisiana provide those tax credits to other industries that have to build plants in Louisiana like automobile manufacturing? Once they are here they have sunk costs to prevent them from leaving? Wouldn't that be a better use of the tax credits? Also, manufacturers' income would be sourced to Louisiana. They would have to use the credits themselves instead of selling them to the highest bidder.
