Facts:

-homeschooled by his Calvinist family
-dabbled in Buddhism and tarot card reading
-joined army to help the people in Afghanistan
-father wants to release all prisoners on both sides of the conflict (gitmo included)
-father has more than basic understanding and ability to speak Arabic
-emailed his parents stating
-" I am ashamed to be an American"...
-"The title of US soldier is just the lie of fools"
-"The horror that is America is disgusting"...
-asked commanding officer if it was ok to leave camp with rifle and night vision goggles

Pretty good assumptions:

-comes from liberal family
-deserted post and sought out the taliban
-may have converted to Islam
