this is pretty damn crappy...but got me thinking...

there really is no blood bank for animals, so where does blood for transfusions on pets normally come from?...

When I read this it got me thinking of this article my son did one of his current events assignments on. He's in elementary school, which is why it's from TFK. I didn't know about this either until I helped him with his report.

Our dog used to be a blood donor for LSU SVM. He would go in about every three months and was always on call just in case. When he hit about 7 or 8 he couldn't do it any more due to his age.
