Negative. Has not.

But you should pre-pay your own services whether in a home or not. If in a home, the medicare just kicks in that much quicker and you get a free funeral essentially and your kids don't have the cost. If not in a home, your estate doesn't get taxed for those funds. Its smart to do if you have the $ to do it.

that's what I was getting at, could be separate from the home, does the spouse have PoA?, if so, she can easily find out, or the funeral home used for her spouse might, be able to help if approached the right way
