Depends on who you're litigating against. I have a mix of suburban and very urban practice against solos and big law attorneys. So I see all types.

Obviously if you go in truly sloppy or not coordinated, people will note. But even the average big law associate (and most partners) I am around probably wouldn't recognize that wearing slip on "dress" shoes to a depo is a faux pas.
