I know. I hate cops as much as the next guy but I don't feel sorry for someone who gets an inspection sticker ticket. Takes 5 minutes and like 17 dollars

Agreed, but with the crime rate the way it is in Baton Rouge, do you really think it's a wise use of taxpayer money to pay police officers to hand out inspection sticker tickets versus actually fixing our crime problem?

It's a money grab, plain and simple. When our police force actually does their job and helps lower the crime rate by a significant margin, then I'll be okay with them spending our own money pulling us over for inspection stickers. Until then, frick em.

While I think pulling over and ticketing for one is completely legitimate, I cannot get behind redirecting traffic/people to accomplish this. Trust me, you will get chased down and pulled over if you proceed through the checkpoint at the posted speedlimit.

People who have no problem with checkpoints of any kind have to admit to be willing to let police randomly stop and submit to whatever inspections they like (ie inspection sticker, alcohol, drug test, vision, etc).

I mean, if you arent breaking the law what is the issue with it?

3 cars, all legal with inspection stickers up to date.

Allow me to blow all of your minds.

those aren't inspection sticker check points.... they're seat belt checks

Unless the law has changed in thelast five years, one ccan't be stopped for an expired sticker... They can be stopped for not wearing a seat belt. Then they can ticket to for anything and everything.

A cat I worked with in industrial-plex never got his Bucket inspected. He also never got caught up in the siegan drag nets.
