Doubt many on the OT know who Jim Croce is much less that he died in Louisiana.

Didn't his pilots basically crash the plane because they were coked up?

The NTSB report said that the pilot was overweight with cardio problems and possibly vision problems. He flew into a single tree that easily could have been avoided by moving the plane right or left.

I celebrate the man's entire catalog... "Operator" is the song most people know, but Roller Derby Queen, and I've Got a Name were the best two songs on that album.

might be confusing him with the rumors about Ricky Nelson's crash on the way to a New Years Eve gig in Dallas

BTW: I was in the Bengal having a cold one when Skynnyrd crashed on the way to BR, with four tickets in my pocket to the show that night, still have the tix

Not coke. Did test positive for weed. Pilot couldn't clear pine trees off end of runway.
