The bottom line is that they don't want whitey to have good schools. Period. Whitey is the devil.

This effort to reform EBR schools came from business and civic leaders inside the parish.

So for those keeping score at home the status quo in EBR has effectively combatted attempts by SG to break out for several years now. And now they have effectively stopped reform from those wanting to keep the parish system and make it better.

People scoffed when I said powerful forces were allied to keep the status quo and once again we see proof of just that.

They say we are better together , but only if we do it their way .

Not by a long shot. MOLA annexation will be nullified, and st.George will be voted on in November. Not that the annexation killed the petition anyway.

The bill had nothing to do with St. George.

The political consultants, I mean "volunteers" for St George are simply using this as a propaganda moment to imply that they were victimized somehow.

The bill was about the state forcing school districts to delegate fiscal responsibility away from the school board to the principals - who work for the school board. I couldn't say it is bad or good, but it had no impact on St. George.
