Getting caught up.

Episode 5X08
The Human Kind

Still calling BS on the Observer tech. That thing would clearly have GPS tracking built in and they would know those two observers were dead and they would hop to the location and reign hell down on Team Fringe.

They have super tech and time travel abilities but can't stop a very rag tag group of rebels. On second watch it really does bug me. If they can move through time, then any action by Fringe should be easily stopped by the Future observers coming back in time to thwart the plan.

I'm a bit confused. Was Peter using Etta's apartment or is that a Pimp Shack he set up on the side. If it is Etta's then why didn't he have her booby trap go off at 5:42 killing Mr. W?

Time travel = no hazmats suits

So it was Etta's apartment. Nice job Peter. You could have ended Mr. W there in the apartment with Etta's bomb. Also probably could have snapped his neck with your super powers since he wouldn't be expecting your super abilities.

What was the point of the black chick having weird powers?

Back to Peter. If he is trying to see the right future path to kill Mr. W, shouldn't Mr. W be able to see the right path the thwart Peter?

Also, since they KNOW Peter is tracking them, wouldn't you think Mr. W would have an army of observers trying to track Peter? Hell, Pete is just casually walking about the city. You would think one of those young Nazis would turn him in.

Ok...good. At least Mr. W wasn't completely oblivious.

Give it a rest, mother Abigail.

If Peter has no emotion, wouldn't he realize revenge is pointless to the overall quest to reset the observers so wouldn't he stop trying to kill Mr. W?

Olivia going all MacGyver there, with a side dose of A-Team.

Blah blah blah. Dead person is still with us. No Olivia she isn't. You have memories of the good times, but Etta is DEAD. Don't listen to her Peter. Go Frack Windmark.

Episode 5X09
Black Blotter

How do they ever sleep? Every creak of the floor would freak me the F out. I would almost never be able to get a good night of rest.

Why does Peter care if he took drugs? Has there been one other time that anyone even paid attention when Walter was stoned out of his mind?

Did I miss why the signal started up again?

Why didn't Olivia recognize his bowling shoes?

They are called the Observers, yet they can't seem to observe a guy tripping balls even though his face is plastered all over the JumboTrons.

Why do loyalist dress like the Genii? Did they reboot Stargate Atlantis in the future? Maybe the Observers liked some Sam Carter.

It wasn't as much fun this time but I lost it the first time Walter slipped in to Monty Python land.

Too much Walter vs Mean Stinky Evil Walter.

Agreed...I don't really remember being bugged by it the first time, but it really is pretty aggravating this go round. It's like they are completely inept on the most important (and sometimes the most obvious) things.

Yes, because the Obs should have a MUCH better grasp of the tech and be able to wield it far better than Peter. But even if Peter is smarter than your average bear (which he is), let's assume that he can use the tech better than most "regular" Observers...he still wouldn't be able to do better than king dick Windmark. And Windmark has been shown over the course of the series (I think we've seen him several times before) that he's sort of the leader of the pack of Obs and can do probabilities better than the rest. Makes no sense.

You'll see when you respond to my comments that this has been bugging me for weeks now.

Not to mention that Walter has literally done some of the best and most ingenious work in history of mankind while high as a kite or tripping balls.

I remember being pissed about that the first time around...felt like they kept giving us filler episodes when there were only a few left in the damn series.

If Michael is so special, how come he can't talk or do ANYTHING useful. I bet those old folks were actually glad to see him leave.

What is it that makes him special anyway? He can't talk, and shows only a couple of signs that there is something more to him than simply being a mute kid who doesn't have very much fun. Is it simply because he's an Observer child? What has he shown or done that makes them SO SURE that he's so special? I don't remember much about the episode about the first time we saw him...I know he helped Liv out and that's about it.
quote:

Who thought the garage door with the elevator would make any sense whatsoever for a secret lab? Any person on the planet would find that entrance so bizarre that they would think about it and tell anyone they know about the strange elevator they saw. Production guys got stupid on that one.

Agreed. They could've at least just made it a door that opened and you could walk into it and close it behind you before getting in the elevator. But nah, you striaght up lift the door and there is an elevator there. At some point, any number of random people would've seen it and been a little suspicious.

They know Nina was compromised. They know Widmark and his minions headed there, but.... our Fringe Friends immediately headed over to the black lab which just as in the warehouse, the bad guys CONVENIENTLY picked up and left minutes after Nina took a bow.

I really liked season 5 on the first watch but this season is one giant black plot hole sucking the life out of season 5.

Yup...see my comments. I think the worst thing about it is that often times they seem to almost literally be TRYING to get caught, yet the Observers (who are smarter, faster, and just better than humans in all facets) are fumbling around town like idiots missing out on just about every chance to catch these easily catchable criminals.

Seriously...see my comments all up and down this page. It's insulting, and borderline infuriating, at times.

I know S5 starts so great and ends with a fantastic finale, but man, as a whole it sure as hell is much weaker than all the other seasons IMO.
